St. Clair's Falls

St. Clair's gets called Sri Lanka's "Little Niagara," and on a good day, with mist rolling off the tea estates behind it, I can see why.

It's also one of the most-visited falls in the hill country — so don't expect it to yourself.

There's a proper viewpoint with railings and a small row of stalls selling tea and snacks — handy, since you'll want an excuse to linger.

Go early or late in the day if sharing the view with three tour buses isn't your thing.
