Why I keep coming
back to Kandy

Kandy sits deep in Sri Lanka's central highlands, ringed by hills that pull in mist most afternoons — its old Sinhala name, Maha Nuwara, just means "Great City," and the clouds seem to agree it's worth hanging around. I go for the waterfalls and stay because the food doesn't let me leave.

The Ramboda Falls stop was the highlight of our trip — exactly as described, no upsells, just good advice.

Followed the Waterfall Route itinerary almost exactly. Loved that it wasn't a packaged tour — felt like getting advice from a friend who'd actually done it.
